Louise Jenkins is the Senior Technician in the Department of Antiquities and has worked at the museum since 1992. Prior to this Louise studied Sculpture at The Camberwell School of Art. Part of Louise’s role in the museum is to assist in the practicalities of setting up permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Since coming to the Museum she has been involved in the refurbishment of all of the Antiquities Galleries, and last year played a key role in the installation of the special exhibition Triumph Protection and Dreams: East African Headrests in Context. Louise has travelled to Africa and remains interested in many aspects of African culture and the contemporary arts.
