Felicity Heywood, cultural researcher, writer and journalist is concerned with presenting new ways of seeing Africa, indigenous peoples and those marginalised in general. Her work includes curating debate online and off, conducting oral history recordings, and historical research for museums and universities linking it to contemporary experiences.
Her latest project has been in south west Uganda, recording stories of the Batwa people (the First People of East Africa). Felicity was the Associate Editor at Museums Journal until 2010. Her writings have appeared in New African magazine, Guardian, BBC online, Msafiri magazine. Felicity currently runs the website www.thisisculture.net
